Ziyou (字由) is developed by independent developer CHUN HAN HUANG ("we"). It consists of the Ziyou app and its built-in iOS keyboard. This policy explains what data Ziyou handles, where it is stored, whether it ever leaves your phone, and how you can control it.
Summary
The keyboard does not log or upload what you type. Learning data, custom words and imported input tables stay on your phone.
Without a Cloud AI subscription, everything is processed on your phone. Speech recognition and AI cleanup, translation and correction use Apple's on-device features.
Cloud voice & AI (subscription, off by default): your voice is turned into text and cleaned up on your phone or in the cloud, depending on the situation. It's used only to produce text and is never stored. Ziyou doesn't keep your voice or text; to prevent abuse, the AI provider that processes it may temporarily keep it for up to 30 days before deleting it.
Subscription payments are handled by Apple. We never receive your name, email address or payment details; our server only uses the transaction record signed by Apple to confirm the subscription and count your allowance.
Shortcuts are stored in the iOS keychain; you can choose to sync them between your own devices with iCloud Keychain (end-to-end encrypted, we can't read them).
No ads, no tracking, and we never sell any data.
1. What you type
The Ziyou keyboard does not collect, log to a server or transmit what you type, and never writes typed text to diagnostic logs.
Learning data (words you picked, word pairs, input-table picks, etc.) is kept in the keyboard's own storage. With Full Access on, a copy goes to the App Group shared by the app and keyboard so the app can show and clear it and so speech recognition knows your common words. This data stays on your phone.
Custom words and imported input tables (.cin) are stored in the App Group on your phone and never uploaded.
iOS does not allow third-party keyboards in password and other secure fields, so Ziyou never sees them.
This data may be included in your own iPhone backups (handled by Apple or your computer).
The only exception is text you correct with ✦ or translate after you subscribe and turn on Cloud AI; see section 5.
2. "Allow Full Access"
iOS requires Full Access for the following features, and Ziyou uses it only for these:
App Group storage: reading the themes, defaults, custom words and input tables you set in the app, and syncing learning data.
Shortcuts: reading the shortcuts you saved in the keychain (section 4).
Voice input: exchanging speech recognition results between the keyboard and the Ziyou app.
Cloud AI: connecting to Ziyou's server, only after you subscribe and agree.
Key sounds and haptic feedback.
When you turn it on, iOS warns that Full Access "allows the developer to transmit anything you type". This is iOS's generic notice for all third-party keyboards. Apart from the content sent to Cloud AI as described in section 5, Ziyou never transmits what you type. Ziyou works for typing, suggestions and learning without Full Access.
3. Voice input and built-in AI
Audio is recorded only after you tap 🎤 on the keyboard; during voice standby the status bar or Dynamic Island shows a microphone indicator.
Without a subscription or with Cloud AI off, speech recognition uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, and AI cleanup, ✦ correction, translation and smart ranking use Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence), all on your phone.
Ziyou does not keep recordings.
Voice history (off by default): only if you turn it on, recognized and cleaned text is kept on this iPhone (protected by iOS file encryption) and never uploaded. Entries are deleted after the retention period you choose (1, 7 or 30 days); you can delete one or all at any time, and everything is deleted when you turn it off.
4. Shortcuts and iCloud Keychain
Shortcuts you create (phrases, addresses, etc.) are stored in the iOS keychain, shared by the app and keyboard. You verify with Face ID / Touch ID or your passcode before the shortcut menu or editor opens.
"iCloud sync" is on by default: shortcuts sync through Apple's iCloud Keychain to devices signed in to the same Apple Account, end-to-end encrypted by Apple. We cannot read them.
With sync off, shortcuts are stored as "this device only" and never leave the device.
5. Cloud voice & AI (subscription)
Cloud AI is off by default. It is used only when all of these are true: you have an active "Cloud voice & AI" subscription, you tapped agree on the consent screen, your phone is online, and your allowance for the last 30 days isn't used up. Otherwise Ziyou processes everything on your phone.
Your voice is turned into text and cleaned up on your phone or in the cloud, depending on the situation. It's used only to produce text and is never stored.
Ziyou doesn't keep your voice or text; to prevent abuse, the AI provider that processes it may temporarily keep it for up to 30 days before deleting it.
What is sent
What you say after tapping 🎤 (the audio), the recognition language and the recording length.
Hints for transcription: Ziyou's fixed terms and up to 20 words taken from the text around the cursor.
For cleanup: the transcribed text, up to 300 characters before and 100 characters after the cursor (as context only), and cleanup instructions (including any custom cleanup you wrote).
For translation and ✦ correction: the text you translate or correct, the target language and fixed task instructions; voice input and ✦ correction also send short questions used to check homophones and self-corrections. Normal typing and smart ranking send nothing.
The subscription transaction record signed by Apple (to confirm the subscription and count your allowance; see "How the subscription is verified"), and a random ID for each request.
Where it goes and how it is handled
It is sent over HTTPS to Ziyou's server on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards it to the OpenAI API. The app contains no OpenAI key.
Ziyou's server does not keep recordings, transcripts, surrounding text or AI output; the temporary audio file is deleted from the phone after upload. According to OpenAI's API data usage, speech-to-text content is not retained.
Text for cleanup, translation and correction is sent with storage turned off (store: false); Ziyou doesn't keep it; to prevent abuse, the AI provider that processes it (OpenAI) may temporarily keep it for up to 30 days before deleting it, and does not use it to train models. OpenAI's handling is governed by OpenAI's policies.
Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver network traffic; Ziyou's server does not store IP addresses.
How the subscription is verified
When you use Cloud AI, the app sends the transaction record signed by Apple (JWS) to Ziyou's server. The server checks Apple's signature, that the app and product are correct, and that the subscription hasn't expired or been revoked.
The server only stores a SHA-256 hash of the original transaction ID and the expiry date (to match usage to the same subscription, kept up to 40 days). It never receives your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details.
Allowance
Each subscription includes 300 minutes of cloud voice per rolling 30 days: usage older than 30 days returns to the allowance over time. There is no daily limit.
When it's used up, Ziyou processes on your phone and goes back to the cloud automatically once allowance returns.
What Ziyou's server keeps
Usage records: per subscription (identified by the hash above), daily counts, seconds, characters, audio size and estimated cost — numbers only — used to count the allowance and deleted after 31 days.
Operational logs: numbers and short IDs only, in Cloudflare Workers Logs, for up to 7 days.
Withdrawing consent: turn off "Use cloud AI" on the Cloud AI page in the app; everything is then processed on your phone only. To cancel the subscription, go to iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
All input methods, the built-in AI, the Face ID shortcut lock and 3 shortcuts are free. Paid items are all sold through Apple's In-App Purchase (App Store):
30 Shortcuts (one-time purchase): keep up to 30 shortcuts forever.
Cloud voice & AI (monthly, auto-renewing): cloud transcription and cleanup, cloud translation and ✦ correction, 300 minutes of cloud voice per rolling 30 days, and 30 shortcuts while subscribed.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your name, email address, card or other payment details. The app checks purchase and subscription status on your phone with Apple's StoreKit; for Cloud AI, the server also verifies the transaction record (section 5).
7. What we don't do
No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites.
We never sell, rent or trade any data.
Apart from Apple, Cloudflare and OpenAI as described above, we don't share data with anyone unless required by law.

Early deletion: email us with your request (you can include your App Store order ID) and we will delete the matching records on our server. Data kept by OpenAI is handled under OpenAI's policies.
9. Children
Ziyou is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Ziyou, please contact us.
10. Security and international transfers
All connections use HTTPS; the OpenAI key exists only on the server.
Cloudflare and OpenAI may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
11. Changes
We will update this policy and the effective date above when features change. If what Cloud AI sends changes significantly, the app will ask for your consent again.

1. 입력한 글자
Ziyou 키보드는 입력한 글자를 수집하거나 서버에 기록하거나 전송하지 않으며, 진단 기록에도 남기지 않습니다.
학습 데이터(고른 단어, 자주 이어지는 단어, 자근 선택 등)는 키보드 자체 저장 공간에 보관됩니다. ‘전체 접근 허용’을 켜면 앱이 보여 주고 지울 수 있도록, 그리고 음성 인식이 자주 쓰는 단어를 알아듣도록 앱과 키보드가 함께 쓰는 App Group에 복사됩니다. 이 데이터는 휴대폰에 남습니다.
사용자 단어와 가져온 자근표(.cin)는 휴대폰의 App Group에 저장되며 업로드되지 않습니다.
iOS는 암호 등 보안 입력란에서 타사 키보드를 쓰지 못하게 하므로 Ziyou는 이런 입력란에 접근할 수 없습니다.
이 데이터는 사용자의 iPhone 백업(Apple 또는 사용자의 컴퓨터가 관리)에 포함될 수 있습니다.
유일한 예외는 구독하고 ‘클라우드 AI’를 켠 뒤 ✦로 수정하거나 번역하는 텍스트입니다. 5절을 참고하세요.
2. ‘전체 접근 허용’
iOS는 다음 기능에 전체 접근을 요구하며, Ziyou는 이 용도로만 사용합니다.
App Group 공유 공간: 앱에서 설정한 테마, 기본값, 사용자 단어, 자근표를 읽고 학습 데이터를 동기화합니다.
단축키: 키체인에 저장한 단축키를 읽습니다(4절).
음성 입력: 키보드와 Ziyou 앱이 음성 인식 결과를 주고받습니다.
클라우드 AI: 구독하고 동의한 경우에만 Ziyou 서버에 연결합니다.
키 소리와 햅틱 피드백.
켤 때 iOS는 ‘전체 접근을 허용하면 개발자가 입력한 모든 내용을 전송할 수 있습니다’라고 안내합니다. 이는 모든 타사 키보드에 공통으로 표시되는 안내입니다. 5절의 클라우드 AI로 처리하는 내용을 제외하면 Ziyou는 입력한 글자를 전송하지 않습니다. 전체 접근 없이도 입력·후보·학습은 정상적으로 작동합니다.
3. 음성 입력과 내장 AI
녹음은 키보드의 🎤를 누른 뒤에만 합니다. 음성 대기 중에는 상태 막대나 다이나믹 아일랜드에 마이크 표시가 나타납니다.
구독하지 않았거나 ‘클라우드 AI’가 꺼져 있으면 음성 인식에는 Apple의 기기 내 음성 인식을, AI 정리·✦ 수정·번역·스마트 정렬에는 Apple의 기기 내 모델(Apple Intelligence)을 사용하며 모두 휴대폰에서 처리합니다.
Ziyou는 녹음을 저장하지 않습니다.
음성 기록(기본값 꺼짐): 직접 켠 경우에만 인식·정리된 텍스트를 이 iPhone에 저장하며(iOS 파일 암호화로 보호) 업로드하지 않습니다. 선택한 보관 기간(1·7·30일)이 지나면 자동으로 삭제되고, 언제든 한 건씩 또는 모두 지울 수 있으며, 끄면 즉시 모두 삭제됩니다.
4. 단축키와 iCloud 키체인
만든 단축키(자주 쓰는 문구, 주소 등)는 iOS 키체인에 저장되며 앱과 키보드가 함께 씁니다. 단축키 메뉴나 편집 화면을 열기 전에 Face ID/Touch ID 또는 암호로 인증합니다.
‘iCloud 동기화’는 기본으로 켜져 있습니다. 같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인한 기기 사이에서 Apple의 iCloud 키체인으로 동기화되며 Apple이 종단간 암호화합니다. 저희는 읽을 수 없습니다.
동기화를 끄면 ‘이 기기만’으로 저장되어 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다.
5. 클라우드 음성과 AI(구독)
클라우드 AI는 기본값이 꺼짐입니다. 다음 조건을 모두 충족할 때만 사용합니다: ‘클라우드 음성과 AI’ 구독이 유효함, 동의 화면에서 동의함, 휴대폰이 온라인임, 최근 30일 사용 한도가 남아 있음. 하나라도 충족하지 않으면 Ziyou는 휴대폰에서 처리합니다.

받아쓰기용 힌트: Ziyou의 고정 용어와 커서 앞뒤 텍스트에서 고른 최대 20개 단어.
정리용: 받아쓴 텍스트, 커서 앞 최대 300자와 뒤 최대 100자(참고용), 정리 지시(직접 쓴 사용자 정리 지시 포함).
번역과 ✦ 수정: 번역하거나 수정할 텍스트, 대상 언어, 고정된 작업 지시. 음성 입력과 ✦ 수정 때는 동음이의어와 말 바꿈을 판단하는 짧은 질문도 보냅니다. 일반 입력과 스마트 정렬은 아무것도 보내지 않습니다.
Apple이 서명한 구독 거래 정보(구독 확인과 사용량 계산용, 아래 ‘구독 확인 방법’ 참고)와 요청마다의 임의 ID.
보내는 곳과 처리 방식
HTTPS로 Cloudflare Workers에 있는 Ziyou 서버로 보내고, 서버가 OpenAI API로 전달합니다. 앱에는 OpenAI 키가 없습니다.
Ziyou 서버는 녹음, 받아쓴 텍스트, 앞뒤 텍스트, AI 출력을 저장하지 않습니다. 업로드용 임시 오디오 파일은 업로드 후 휴대폰에서 삭제됩니다. OpenAI의 API 데이터 안내에 따르면 음성 받아쓰기 내용은 보관되지 않습니다.
정리·번역·수정 텍스트는 저장하지 않도록 설정(store: false)해 보냅니다. Ziyou는 저장하지 않으며, 처리를 맡은 AI 서비스 제공업체(OpenAI)는 악용 방지를 위해 최대 30일간 임시로 보관한 뒤 삭제할 수 있고 모델 학습에는 사용하지 않습니다. OpenAI의 처리는 OpenAI 정책을 따릅니다.
Cloudflare는 네트워크 트래픽 전달을 위해 IP 주소를 처리합니다. Ziyou 서버는 IP 주소를 저장하지 않습니다.
구독 확인 방법
클라우드 AI를 쓸 때 앱은 Apple이 서명한 거래 정보(JWS)를 Ziyou 서버로 보냅니다. 서버는 Apple의 서명, 앱과 상품이 맞는지, 구독이 만료되거나 취소되지 않았는지 확인합니다.
서버는 원래 거래 ID의 SHA-256 해시와 만료일만 저장합니다(같은 구독의 사용량을 연결하기 위해 최대 40일). 이름, 이메일 주소, Apple 계정, 결제 정보는 받지 않습니다.
사용 한도

Ziyou 서버가 보관하는 것
사용 기록: 구독별(위 해시로 구분) 하루 횟수·초 수·글자 수·오디오 크기·예상 비용(숫자만). 사용 한도 계산에 쓰며 31일 뒤 자동으로 삭제합니다.
운영 기록: 숫자와 짧은 ID만, Cloudflare Workers Logs에 최대 7일.
동의 철회: 앱의 ‘클라우드 AI’ 페이지에서 ‘클라우드 AI 사용’을 끄면 이후 모두 휴대폰에서만 처리합니다. 구독 취소는 iPhone 설정 › [사용자 이름] › 구독에서 할 수 있습니다.
6. 구입과 구독
모든 입력 방식, 내장 AI, Face ID 단축키 잠금, 단축키 3개는 무료입니다. 유료 항목은 모두 Apple의 앱 내 구입(App Store)으로 제공합니다.
단축키 30개(한 번 구매): 한 번 구입하면 단축키를 계속 30개까지 저장할 수 있습니다.
클라우드 음성과 AI(월간 자동 갱신): 클라우드 받아쓰기와 정리, 클라우드 번역과 ✦ 수정, 최근 30일 300분의 클라우드 음성, 구독 기간 중 단축키 30개.
결제는 모두 Apple이 처리하며, 저희는 이름, 이메일 주소, 카드 등 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다. 앱은 휴대폰에서 Apple의 StoreKit으로 구입과 구독 상태를 확인하고, 클라우드 AI는 서버에서도 거래 정보를 확인합니다(5절).
7. 하지 않는 일
광고를 넣지 않고, 타사 분석·추적 SDK를 쓰지 않으며, 앱이나 웹사이트를 넘나들며 추적하지 않습니다.
어떤 데이터도 판매·임대·교환하지 않습니다.
위에 적은 Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI 외에는 법률이 요구하지 않는 한 데이터를 다른 곳에 제공하지 않습니다.

9. 어린이
Ziyou는 13세 미만 어린이를 위한 서비스가 아니며, 어린이의 개인정보를 의도적으로 수집하지 않습니다. 어린이가 Ziyou를 통해 개인정보를 제공했다고 생각되면 연락해 주세요.
10. 보안과 국외 이전
모든 연결에 HTTPS를 사용하며, OpenAI 키는 서버에만 있습니다.
Cloudflare와 OpenAI는 사용자의 국가 밖(미국 포함)에서 데이터를 처리할 수 있습니다.
11. 변경
기능이 바뀌면 이 방침과 위의 시행일을 업데이트합니다. 클라우드 AI가 보내는 내용이 크게 바뀌면 앱에서 다시 동의를 요청합니다.
